Due to various reasons, the mobile phone has become an important pedagogical tool in the education system today. Especially following the Covid-19 pandemic in recent times, distance learning has grown in popularity and has become an indispensable tool in the educational system. This trend can be seen not only in Sri Lanka but globally. However, access to mobile phones is relatively restricted for students in rural areas of Sri Lanka. We have already supported 15 students attending Advanced Level (A/L) classes in a few schools in Monaragala district by providing mobile phones. These mobile phones are designed by the Dialog company in Sri Lanka with recommendations from the ministry of education. Our objective is to extend this project further by continuing to support students who are in need.
